Who are the Campaigners?
An evangelical youth organization fonded by Rev. Colin Kerr with the aim of leading young people to Jesus Christ as Saviour and to live for Him as Lord in their lives.
How did Campaigners begin?
The year was 1922, the place London England, the time just before midnight. In spite of Colin's great interest in young people, he was not thinking of them on that particular night. Quite suddenly, clearly and vividly he was given what he could only describe as a vision from God. There was to be a new Movement for boys and girls. The words "Unto Him" came clearly and quite unmistakably. Then three more words "Through and Though" were given to him as a password denoting thoroughness in everything undertaken.
Why are they called Campaigners?
As the vision unfolded, the word "Campaigns" followed. Colin knew that a unique system of work was being shown to him. There would be a wide variety of 3-monthly Campaigns with opportunities to learn new skills as life progressed and constant variety in the weekly program. Campaigners was unmistakably the name for the new Movement.
What are the requirements for leaders?
In days when the authority of the Bible is being questioned, there is no compromise. Each leader must be able to express personal belief in the Bible as the inspired word of God and in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
What is the outreach of Campaigners?
Since its inception in 1922, Campaigners continues to send out, encourage and keep in touch with missionaries in many parts of the world declaring the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Although founded by an Anglican clergyman, Campaigners is not limited to Anglicanism. During the years of the Second World War, Campaigners became interdenominational.
